Artist statement
My work’s theme is based on a thought about what is ordinary for us all, and how we should deal with this through our common senses. Some of my works might look silly or optimistic, but they also reflect the anguish I feel in my daily life.
I consciously consider myself to be just a piece of our society. It means we are living. We must eat. Sleep. Earn. Get on with others. Even though we don’t want to. I find small events in all our daily lives which surround us, which we often overlook due to its tininess, and by which small happiness/frustration are accumulated. I pick them up and through my works try to bring a sense of humor for us all to enjoy our real lives with giggles.
